Before they are ready for public use, these trainsets have to undergo system checks and testing in order to ensure the safety of the passengers. The #MRT7 uses a third rail power supply system, a first in the Philippines which uses a steel mounted at the middle of the rail tracks which shall directly supply power to live trainsets, that is why, there are no overhead cables and a pantograph in the train.
