There’s war history hidden in these railings. These aren’t ordinary fences. They’re made from metal medical stretchers produced for Britain’s Air Raid Precautions ARP during the Second World War. Designed in 1938 and 1939, hundreds of thousands were stockpiled in anticipation of mass civilian casualties during air raids.
