Have you ever wondered what our windpump looks and sounds like when it’s in action? Yesterday the wind was a steady 6-12mph, so we had plenty of moving water, the wind was coming from an unusual direction, so the entire top cap was twisted fully around, with the sails on the "wrong" side, so the door could be left open and people could get close to see the mechanism in action while it was pumping water. Not bad for an almost 200 year old machine! We aim to have the sails turning on the windpump
