This year’s NBA All-Star Game will be on Feb. 15 at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, Ca, which is the brand-new home of the Los Angeles Clippers. On Thursday, news finally came of the first two known participants for the Slam Dunk Contest.

Three-time defending NBA dunk champion and Gate City Native Mac McClung announced he will not be participating in this year’s contest. The 27-year-old, a former Gate City High School standout, made history last year by becoming the first player to win three consecutive dunk contests.
