New LSU coach Lane Kiffin finally has his quarterback for 2026. Kiffin’s winding search for a transfer quarterback came to an end Monday morning as former Arizona State standout Sam Leavitt committed to the Tigers, according to a program source.

LSU hosted Southern Cal freshman Husan Longstreet, a five-star recruit in the 2025 class, over the weekend before it had signed either quarterback. It was not immediately clear what Leavitt’s commitment meant for LSU’s chances of signing Longstreet.
