The Shipshewana Fire Department announced it contained an electrical fire in Shipshewana Tuesday afternoon, evacuating two people suffering injuries from the incident.
Firefighters late Saturday and early Sunday battled a large blaze at an electrical substation that sent a massive plume of black smoke over parts of the city, authorities said.
Authorities say an "electrical event" in an HVAC unit caused the fire.
The 407 inmates who were evacuated were moved to other parts of the facility for the night.
