Flying without a REAL ID? $45 alternative available soon
The TSA warns that, without a REAL ID or this new program, you could face "additional delays which may result in a missed flight."
TSA offers an online portal, TSA ConfirmID, where travelers can pay the $45 fee before arriving at the airport. Passengers can then pass through a checkpoint without an ID for 10 days (based on the date of payment) if they travel again within that timeframe.
Drivers could use 23 AAA facilities to get Real ID licenses and do other drivers license and vehicle transactions if a State Senator's bill is approved.
